About this race
The Hannover Triathlon at Maschsee is a short triathlon located on the north shore of the Maschsee in Hannover. The Volkstriathlon format includes a 500 m swim, a 22.9 km bike ride, and a 5 km run, with the transition area situated on the lake’s north shore. The swim starts with a water start on the west side of the north shore and consists of a single lap.
The bike leg proceeds south along Rudolf-von-Bennigsen-Ufer and is completed as three laps of a 7.6 km loop. The roads are closed to public traffic and overseen by marshals and police. The run also follows Rudolf-von-Bennigsen-Ufer, covers three laps, and features a drink station offering water and isotonic drinks. Participants must carry their own bike nutrition, and while electronic timing records laps, athletes are responsible for completing the full distance.
