Hutzellauf 2026

The Hutzellauf is a September landscape run held at Großer Woog in Darmstadt, organized by the Darmstädter Lauf-Treff. It originated in Darmstadt in 1974 and is more akin to a local running club outing than a large-scale city event. The course crosses countryside terrain with inclines. Runners often discuss moving in small groups, assisting each other on the climbs, and maintaining enough energy for a final sprint. Following the run, participants and volunteers gather for coffee and cake, beer, sparkling wine, and conversation. Other runners, waiting at the finish, provide drinks and homemade-style food.
