Stadtwerke Borken Triathlon 2026

The Stadtwerke Borken Triathlon takes place in Borken-Hoxfeld, centered at Pröbstingsee. The event is scheduled for a Saturday, featuring both a short triathlon and a Volkstriathlon, with staggered starts from late morning through the afternoon. Approximately 500 athletes are registered, an increase from just under 300 previously, indicating the event anticipates its largest participation to date. Pröbstingsee serves as the location for the swim and run segments, while the bike course follows the Pröbstinger Busch road circuit. This cycling route is closed to traffic and incorporates a sharp 180-degree turn, providing participants with a controlled race environment instead of open-road conditions. Now in its 38th edition, the series draws a field composed primarily of local and regional triathletes, rather than exclusively elite competitors.
