About this race
The Ravensburger Triathlon, held in Ravensburg, Baden-Württemberg, begins with the TWS Nachwuchs-Cup for its youngest participants in the morning, followed by the main adult sprint races later the same day. This early August swim-bike-run event, now in its 41st edition, is organized by the Ravensburg section of the German Alpine Club (DAV) and maintains a focus on children, adults, age-group competitors, and relay teams.
The primary Jedermann and age-group sprint covers 0.7 km swimming, 24 km cycling, and 5 km running, anticipating approximately 450 starters. The Sparkassen Staffel-Cup employs the same distances for relay teams. Shorter courses are set for children and juniors, ranging from 75 to 200 m swimming, up to 2 km cycling, and 500 m to 1 km running, with distinct starts for Schüler C, Schüler B, Schüler A, and Jugend B categories. All participants in the youth cup receive a medal, and the top three in each age group are awarded prizes, underscoring the event's strong emphasis on families and the DAV triathlon youth program, in addition to the adult sprint race.
