Metsä Group Seurakisat 2026

Metsä Group Seurakisat is a nationwide series of local athletics events for children and young people in Finland, for ages 5 to 15. Over 500 meetings are organized annually across the country, with more than 25,000 participants. The concept is straightforward: provide children a low-threshold opportunity to try athletics near home, in an environment focused on safety, encouragement, and enjoyment, not pressure. These are local club-style competition days. The "course" is a series of youth athletics events held in communities throughout Finland. Families participate, and parents can assist with official duties rather than just observing. Metsä Group has been the title partner since 2022. Their collaboration with the Finnish Athletics Federation supports the series as part of a broader effort to keep children active and at ease in sports.
