Hannun heitot and the district championships for ages 9-17 take place at Harjulinna in Parikkala, organized by Parikkalan Urheilijat. This is a district-sanctioned athletics meeting, focusing on youth championship events and javelin contests for older participants. The younger age groups will compete in short sprints, 800m, shot put, and javelin. Specifically, ages 9 run 40m, ages 11 and 13 run 60m, and ages 15 and 17 run 100m. The 800m is included for all youth categories. Men's and women's javelin events are available for ages 19 and up, covering under-22 and open classes. There is a per-event entry fee, with registration closing in late July. A results service will be available.
