Running: Locals keep running simple in Beauvais, with easy laps around the Plan d'eau du Canada and steadier miles along the Thérain and Avelon. L'A.C.A.Beauvais gives the scene a proper base, with Tuesday sessions at 6:30 PM in front of the Léopold Louchard gymnasium and Thursday meetups in front of the Jules Ladoumègue stadium. The club vibe is courir pour la santé dans la plus grande convivialité, and that fits the town. Les Foulées de la Rue is the anchor road race, while Les courses du Canada, the trail of Beauvais, Festi'run Beauvais, Frappadingue Beauvais, and L'Hivernale de Milly-sur-Thérain keep the calendar moving.
Cycling: Locals ride Beauvais as a small Oise scene with a bit of everything. BEAUVAIS BIKE is the obvious call for VTT, VTC, Gravel, and electric assist bikes, and BBCO and BOUC also sit in the local club mix. The Route electrique bycicle - Beauvais gives you a tidy workout, because the route spans about 31.2 kilometers and gains around 347 meters. The wooded hills give the climbs their bite, with altitude moving from 63 to 174 meters. The plan works for base miles, Z2, gravel spins, and punchy intervals when you want a short crit-style effort.
Season: Spring owns Beauvais training, and April to June usually gives runners and riders the cleanest rhythm. Autumn hits almost as well, because September to November brings mild days and enough freshness for longer Z2 work. Summer asks for early starts or late evenings on the bike, and locals still get their miles in around the Plan d'eau du Canada before the day gets heavy. Winter changes the kit choice first, because frequent rain, fog, and possible icy paths make caution part of the ride. Runners keep going, and the local calendar still has that L'Hivernale feel.
