La sinueuse - Saint-Malo
La Sinueuse is a Pink October running event held in Saint-Malo, on the Breton coast, offering 5 km and 10 km distances. It is organized by Sinoo, a local association supporting women with cancer, using the event to raise awareness for breast cancer. The race takes place alongside La Malouine, and the entire day is known as Tous en rose, or Everyone in Pink.
Participants start in the center of Paramé, a district of Saint-Malo, and follow the course through the city. The event attracts approximately 4,500 runners and can sell out, creating a strong community atmosphere rather than a small club event. Wearing pink is central to the day's identity, and supporters are encouraged along the route, with planned entertainment throughout the race.
La Florin'oz - Saint-Alban
La Florin'oz is a local outdoor event in Saint-Alban, set in the Flora valley and the town. It offers more than just a race, combining orienteering with gourmet hikes suitable for both children and adults.
The routes are prepared beforehand, with race and hiking formats adapted to various participant levels. The day also features a meal with music, blending a sporting meet with a village gathering. The Flori'Noz association organizes the event, which has a clear charitable aspect: with Hopper's support, it helped fund a sports blade for Ronan Le Bris.
Corrida de l'espoir - Loudéac
The Corrida de l'espoir takes place in Loudéac in November, featuring short road races that support cancer fundraising. The event includes a 5 km race divided into Corri'Men for men and Corri'Dames for women, an open mixed 10 km run under the Corrida de l'espoir title, and a Corrida des petits for children aged 3 to 13.
The race attracts a large local participation, with approximately 1,500 runners, including about 250 children. Funds raised benefit the League Against Cancer and cancer research, the primary objective for the Team de l'Espoir organizers. This group also organizes other running and raid events, such as the Foulées d'Aquarev in April. The Loudéac race has previously featured professional cyclist Nolan Mahoudo as a co-sponsor and starter for the women's 5 km.
La Foetadenn - Saint-Brieuc
La Foetadenn is a trail-running and walking event held in the Robien area of Saint-Brieuc, Brittany. The start and finish are located in Robien village, near the Octave Brilleaud parking lot. Participants can select from 7, 13, or 22 km trail races, or choose from several hiking routes of 5, 10, 11, 13, and 18 km. This event, in its early editions, attracted over 600 participants and has a cap of 1,400 for the upcoming one. It is organized by the support committee for the Diwan school of Saint-Brieuc, with proceeds benefiting the local Breton-language school.
The routes explore the Saint-Brieuc area, featuring sections along the Gouedic valley and the port of Legue. Runners will encounter coastal air, technical paths, stairs, roots, rocks, and harbor views. The 7 km course is designed for accessibility, mostly rolling with stairs before the finish. The 13 km includes single track, wooden steps, Villa Rohannec'h, and a technical finish. The 22 km course is for experienced runners, with 750 m of elevation gain, a section through Bois Boissel, and a steep climb in Plerin before returning via the port. The hikes extend from Robien to areas like the Gouedic valley, Villa Rohannec'h park, Plerin, Langueux, and the Gouet reservoir, utilizing shuttles for some point-to-point routes.
Trail Glazig - Plourhan
The Trail Glazig begins in Plourhan, Brittany, leading runners along coastal paths, sandy beaches, fields, and small woods. Winter conditions can bring cold, wind, or snow. This trail-running event offers races for children and adults, with distances ranging from 5 km to 54 km, including the two-day 73 km Défi Kinetik.
The 5 km mini-trail is primarily for teenagers but accessible to others born early enough to participate. Its loop near Plourhan involves modest climbing of approximately 47 meters. The 54 km race presents a greater challenge, with 1,290 meters of climbing. Typically, the event attracts about 5,000 runners and over 450 volunteers. Established in 2002, Glazig also marks the start of the Challenge Ouest Trail Tour. The atmosphere resembles a village race with Breton music, rather than a large-scale city event.
Foulées des Champs-Géraux - Les Champs-Géraux
Foulées des Champs-Géraux is a nature race held in Les Champs-Géraux, near Dinan in Côtes-d’Armor. It serves as the opening event for the Crédit Agricole challenge. The main race, beginning in the morning, follows a 12 km course. Local distance runners use this event as the first race in a regional series comprising 19 events. Organized by l’Entente du Brice, this marks the 21st edition of the race.
The 12 km route remains the same, as runners responded positively to the updated course. Organizers note that the ground is currently muddy. Approximately 30 to 40 volunteers mark the course the day before, following several months of preparation. A new youth race for 15- to 17-year-olds is included for spectators while the main field is running. About ten young runners complete laps around the stadium, with the last two eliminated on each lap, and prizes awarded to the top finishers. A Nordic walk is also offered.
Les défoulés de Miniac-Morvan
Les Défoulés de Miniac-Morvan is a small road-running event in Miniac-Morvan, a commune in Ille-et-Vilaine in Brittany. It offers adults two straightforward choices: a 10 km race or a 5 km race, both on roads, with free races included for children.
The routes are gently rolling rather than flat: the 10 km has about 66 m of climbing and 64 m of descent, while the 5 km has about half that. Children are split into 3-5, 6-8, and 9-10 age groups, suiting families as well as local runners. Bib pickup is handled on site at La Salle de Miniac-Morvan, and the setup includes practical basics such as toilets, parking, and food. The organizing association is Les Coureurs de Miniac.
Corrida de Bréhand
The Corrida de Bréhand is a road race held in Bréhand, a village in Côtes-d'Armor, Brittany. The next editions are scheduled for mid-March. Participants can select a 5 km or 10 km distance. The programme also features races for children and juniors, making it a local family event rather than solely an adult competition. Electronic timing is employed, and the race is organized by Rock and Run, a local association founded by parents from the village schools.
The race expanded rapidly, attracting 930 participants, including 200 children, by its third edition. Its connection to local schools remains significant, with a portion of each entry fee supporting student activities. The corrida's broader success also benefits two local associations within the commune. The format is straightforward: four races, short road distances, numerous younger runners, and a community-focused purpose for the entries.
Foulées briochines - Saint-Brieuc
Les Foulées briochines is an urban running event in Saint-Brieuc, Côtes-d’Armor. The adult program features a 10 km race and a 2 x 5 km relay, alongside a children’s race that adds a family atmosphere. Saint-Brieuc athlétisme organizes the event, which attracted close to 1,000 participants for its 50th running.
The course takes runners through Saint-Brieuc’s pedestrian streets, with the event village located near the Parc des Promenades. This race holds the distinction of being Brittany’s oldest urban road race. Over 80 volunteers contribute to managing the course, timing, and overall race day operations. The winner of the 10 km typically finishes in around thirty minutes, while the last participants cross the line in over an hour and fifteen minutes, reflecting the diverse field of runners.
Course nature du valais - Saint-Brieuc
The Course nature du Valais is a running event held in Saint-Brieuc, located in France’s Côtes-d’Armor department. It is scheduled for March, with the specific date yet to be confirmed. Participants can choose between two distances: 12.5 km and 5.5 km.
The 12.5 km course features approximately 250 m of climbing, and the 5.5 km course includes 150 m of elevation gain, meaning neither route is entirely flat. The longer race begins in the afternoon, and the shorter race commences half an hour later.
Trail de lorette - Le Quillio
Trail de Lorette is a hilly nature trail race held at the Lorette site in Le Quillio, a commune in Côtes-d’Armor, Brittany. Participants can select from three distances: 7 km, 14 km, and 21 km, with routes named Loup, Merlin, and Cromlech. The event attracts hundreds of runners and has sold out over a month in advance. The entry limit was increased to 600, but demand still exceeded availability. Organizers maintain this cap due to limited parking at the site and to ensure a manageable event, thus carpooling is recommended.
The courses follow the Quillio trails, featuring climbs, woodlands, and open countryside instead of flat road-race terrain. New sections have been incorporated west of the commune, near Le Roz and towards Saint-Guen. The local association Les Sentiers Quilliotais is responsible for year-round path maintenance. A unique aspect is the route passing through Ehpad Le Cosquer, allowing residents to observe and cheer the runners from their homes. Supporters in costume have also contributed to the festive atmosphere, and the event depends on numerous volunteers and municipal support.
Poker Trail Mont Garrot
The Poker Trail Mont Garrot is a spring charity trail race held in Saint-Suliac, situated on the right bank of the Rance in Brittany. This village is one of France's most beautiful, and the race takes place at the Mont Garrot site overlooking the river. Its fitting nickname, “Coup de bluff en Bretagne,” reflects the poker theme: participants compete not only for themselves but also to secure donations for one of two chosen charities.
The race employs a short-loop, backyard-style format instead of a single fixed-distance trail. Each lap covers approximately 5.5 to 6 km, and runners have 45 minutes to complete it. Those who exceed this time are eliminated, while others can stop at their discretion. A maximum of 10 laps can be completed, with the overall classification determined from the tenth lap onwards. Approximately 80 runners are anticipated, each supporting either Association Mario & Mimo or Leucémie Espoir 35. A prize pool of €1600 will be distributed among the supported associations. The course is located within a Natura 2000 protected area, between the pointe de Grinfolet and the pointe du Mont Garrot, with trail runner Florent Beaufils serving as the race sponsor.
