About this race
Southpaw Brewing Company serves as the starting and ending point: meet there, complete the run or walk, and then return for the part that draws many participants. Run New Brighton is a "free, social weekly run and walk" welcoming runners and walkers of all abilities. It focuses on encouraging local movement and connection, rather than a large-scale event production.
The routes vary frequently, keeping the course adaptable and functional instead of rigid. Expect a range of paces, a combination of running and walking, and during darker months, a head torch is advisable even though most runs occur under lighting. A distinct feature is the "relaxed social catch-up" that follows: enjoying a drink, conversation, and supporting local businesses, making it "as much a social outing as a fitness one."
