About this race
The Bieg Miodobrania Kurpiowskiego is a 10 km race held in Poland's Kurpie region. It takes place at Kurpiowska Kraina, located at Zalew Wykrot near Myszyniec. The primary race begins in Myszyniec and concludes at the Wydmusy reservoir. Buses will transport runners from the finish area to the starting line. The course is certified by the PZLA for official road running and consists mainly of asphalt with a brief cobblestone segment. Younger participants compete earlier in shorter races, ranging from 200 m for the youngest to 1200 m for teenagers.
The finish area, race office, and family activities are situated at Kurpiowska Kraina on ul. Miodobrania, near Karczma Kurpiowska. Each participant receives a race package containing timing services, a commemorative medal, and a small jar of local honey, reflecting the event's name, Miodobranie, and the Kurpie honey-harvest tradition. Hundreds of participants, from young children to adult 10 km runners, attend the event, with recent editions seeing record numbers. The main race typically follows the children's events. Kilometer markers are placed along the course, and cash prizes are awarded to the top three finishers.
