About this race
The Bieg Morskiego Komandosa (Commando Run) in Gdynia is an obstacle race organized since 2010 in cooperation with JW Formoza commandos. The classic distance route leads, among other places, from the beach through varied and difficult terrain; it includes riverbeds, swamps, tunnels, and dozens of obstacles inspired by commando training courses, such as elements used by Navy Seals, SAS, Grom, or Formoza. The classic distance is over 25 km. The organizer presents the run as an event of a commando and cross-country nature. The event takes place in Gdynia. The starting package for the 15th edition includes, among other things, medical and water rescue support on the route, NNW insurance, a start number with a timing chip, baggage deposit, access to showers, and a commemorative rashguard for all participants. Completing the run is rewarded with a commemorative medal. The organizer also provides free photos from the run, with the caveat that not all participants may be included. The event description also notes possible abrasions and muscle pain resulting from the route.
