Duathlon Rumia

Duathlon Rumia is a run-bike-run race held in Rumia, a town in Pomerania’s Wejherowo County in northern Poland, typically in mid-April. The main sprint format consists of 5 km running, 20 km cycling, and a final 2.5 km run. Age-group racing, with sprint and standard-distance starts divided into waves for men’s categories from M16-19 to M85-89. All women’s age-group categories start as a single wave. The event extends beyond a single adult race. Rumia has previously hosted the European Duathlon Championships, attracting approximately 500 athletes from across the continent. The programme also features Polish and national-level youth races. Younger athletes compete on shorter run-bike-run courses, including 0.7-5.7-0.7 km for U11-12 competitors and 1.5-5.7-0.7 km for U13-14 competitors. Junior routes traverse the sea, lakes, ponds, and green areas surrounding the town. The course is noted for its speed, appealing to athletes aiming for fast times and those participating in their first duathlon.
