Gdańsk Airport Duathlon

The Gdańsk Airport Duathlon is a night run-bike-run race held at Lech Wałęsa Airport in Gdańsk, utilizing the runway and taxiway space normally used by aircraft. The format is concise: 5 km running, 15 km cycling on a 5 km loop, followed by a final 2.5 km run on a 2.5 km course. The flat airport terrain ensures a fast race, but the unique setting is the main draw. Participants compete at night in a location typically restricted to airport operations. This event was the first of its kind at a Polish airport, attracting over 200 participants, primarily runners and cyclists seeking an unusual alternative to standard road races.
