Piona dla Niepodległej, translated as “High Five for Independence,” is a community running event held in Jarosław, Poland, with its focus on the city’s Market Square. The event coincides with Jarosław’s 650th anniversary and Poland’s independence anniversary, blending a straightforward public race with a local patriotic gathering. Participants ran with local officials, such as Deputy Starost Krzysztof Cebulak, who took part in the symbolic “high five” gesture supporting a free Poland.
