Faro

Faro sits on the Algarve coast where flat, hard-packed trails and quiet rural roads dominate. The Nexe 107 1.2 trail ultra and Maratona Tunes XCM OPEN showcase the region's rolling inland terrain inland; cyclists also tackle the TransAlgibre 2026 gravel route through cork forests and farmland east toward the Spanish border. Running here is mostly trail-based on sandy paths through pine and scrubland, with minimal elevation gain except on cross-country courses that push north into the Caldas hills.
