Locals run the Lis first, because the Percurso Polis gives easy rhythm along the river. Gou Running Club meets Saturdays at 9:00 at Parque Radical de Leiria, and the pace feels friendly but honest. Centro de Marcha e Corrida trains Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at 19:00 at Centro Nacional de Lançamentos or Estádio. Clube de Orientação do Centro gets out Tuesdays at 19:20 at Parque da Fonte Quente. Semi-Marathon de Leiria and Leiria Run anchor the road calendar. Summer gives you warm base miles, with average days at 23°C and nights at 17°C, while hotter days can push above 30°C. Locals move intervals early and keep the longer rides tidy. Winter stays mild but wet, with days around 15°C and nights around 8°C. Runners keep the Lis in play, and cyclists pick routes by showers, frost days, and the legs they want for spring.
