D&L RaceFest presented by St. Luke's
SUN NOV 15
The D&L RaceFest, presented by St. Luke’s, is a November race weekend in Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley. It is built around four events on and near the D&L Trail: the St. Luke’s D&L Marathon, the St. Luke’s D&L Marathon Relay, the D&L Heritage Half Marathon Run, and the D&L Heritage Half Marathon Walk. The marathon covers 26.2 miles between Allentown and downtown Easton, with most of its miles on the D&L Trail, Pennsylvania’s longest multi-use trail. The routes offer runners, relay teams, and walkers a late-fall point-to-point race on a softer, joint-friendly surface. The event continues the November tradition of the D&L Heritage Half Marathon Run and Walk, while also using sections of the former St. Luke’s Via Marathon and Marathon Relay. Proceeds benefit the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor Inc., a 501(c)3, supporting heritage and environmental programs, plus development and promotion of the D&L Trail. Free downloadable race photos are included through the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor and St. Luke’s University Health Network.

2026 Philadelphia Marathon Weekend
SAT NOV 21
Philadelphia Marathon Weekend takes place over three days in November, focusing on the TIAA Philadelphia Marathon held in Philadelphia. Over 30,000 athletes participate throughout the weekend, with the marathon itself drawing 20,000 runners. The courses are USATF certified, and the marathon serves as a Boston qualifier. The route guides runners past Philadelphia landmarks, through city neighborhoods, and along the city’s waterfronts. It attracts dedicated marathoners aiming for qualifying times, local participants, first-time runners, and their accompanying families. The event is frequently ranked among the top U.S. marathons, and demand is high enough that additional marathon slots were made available after waitlists were filled.
Delaware Running Festival
SUN APR 18
The Delaware Running Festival includes four races at Tubman Garrett Riverfront Park in Wilmington: a marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K. This spring event is designed for many types of runners, with the shorter races offering the same atmosphere as the marathon and half. The marathon route covers downtown Wilmington, the riverfront, and the Jack Markell Trail. It is noted as challenging yet Boston-qualifying, and the half marathon follows the initial 13 miles of the marathon course. The 10K and 5K take place on the same day, with post-race activities returning to the park.

About Marathon races in Philadelphia

Philadelphia Training Notes

Philadelphia hosts 10 Marathon races in 2026 within 80 km of the city centre — upcoming dates, recurring series, and other races nearby, all in one place.

Locals run the Schuylkill River Trail, Kelly Drive, Forbidden Drive, Boxer’s Trail, Pennypack trails, and the Benjamin Franklin Bridge pedestrian walkway. The usual river loop gives you 5 miles without intersections when it's open. m. The Independence Blue Cross Broad Street Run, Philadelphia Distance Run, Philly Run Fest, Rocky Run, Penn Relays, and Philadelphia Marathon Weekend keep the calendar honest.

Locals ride the Circuit Trails, Kelly Drive, MLK Jr. Drive, the Schuylkill River Trail, and the East Falls Loop for steady base miles. The Schuylkill River Trail runs 30 miles to Parker Ford and goes through Valley Forge National Historical Park. Bicycle Club of Philadelphia runs free group recreational rides, and Central Bucks Bicycle Club keeps evening and weekend road and mountain rides going throughout the year. Guy’s Racing Club brings the Neshaminy Classic and Whirlybird ‘Cross. Manayunk gives you Main Street, Leverington Avenue, Umbria Street, Shawmont Avenue, and Port Royal Avenue when you want climbs, cobbles, and punchy intervals.

June, July, and August give the city its highest sunshine share, so locals stack early Z2, evening club runs, and short river-path intervals before the heat sits in. Summer feels hot and muggy, and the Saturday Philly Runners start moves to 8 a.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Spring and fall feel like the cleanest blocks for marathon work, gran fondo prep, cyclocross openers, and longer Wissahickon miles. Winter stays moderately cold, and runners and riders keep going when light snow is all that shows up, while bigger storms push more work onto cleared paths and shorter loops.
