À propos de cette course
Letni Bieg Piastów is a late-August running weekend held in Jakuszyce, at Polana Jakuszycka in Szklarska Poręba, within Poland’s Izerskie Mountains. The event offers mountain runs of approximately 12, 22, and 50 km, alongside a 12 km nordic walking event and shorter children’s races. Compared to other mountain events, its courses are on the easier and faster side, attracting both individuals new to trail running and those accustomed to flat road races.
The routes primarily consist of hardened forest roads, gravel, dirt paths, and grass, featuring rolling terrain and extended flatter sections instead of constant steep climbs. The 50 km Jakuszyca Ultramarathon is frequently seen as a reasonable introduction to distances beyond the marathon, while the half-marathon and shorter races provide accessible options for less experienced participants within the same environment. The event also features the Preschooler’s Run, the Youngsters’ Summer Expedition for primary-school children, an expo, partner zones, charity initiatives, aid stations, checkpoints, chip timing, and is organized by the Bieg Piastów association from Jakuszyce.
