S Ankou za život

S Ankou za život is a relay run that begins at 7:00 AM outside St. Elisabeth Cathedral in Košice and concludes at the Church of the Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Vysoká nad Uhom. This is the event's seventh edition. It is a faith-based run, where participants offer their effort for the protection of human life from conception to natural death. The route proceeds east from Košice through villages including Nižná Hutka, Bohdanovce, Slanec, Zemplínska Teplica, Nižný Žipov, Oborín, Vojany, Veľké Kapušany, Čierne Pole, and Pavlovce nad Uhom before arriving at Vysoká nad Uhom. Runners can join later in the day at Čierne Pole for approximately 8 km, or at Pavlovce nad Uhom for approximately 2.5 km. Children have their own joining point at the municipal office in Čierne Pole, then run toward the bakery and Domček. The day concludes with a 6:00 PM holy mass in the finish church.
