Toronto Carnival Run
The Toronto Carnival Run is a Caribbean Carnival-themed run/walk in Toronto's west end, held at Sir Casimir Gzowski Park on Lake Shore Boulevard West. It typically takes place in late July and includes 1K, 5K, and 10K distances, accommodating families, walkers, and runners in the same morning. The course follows an out-and-back route on the Martin Goodman Trail, staying near the waterfront rather than going through city streets. A 1K Kids Run is available for ages 4 to 12. Participants receive chip-timed bibs, finisher medals, race swag (while supplies last), and baggage check. A virtual option with mailed race kits is also offered. The Simunye Foundation organizes the event, incorporating fundraising to provide a community purpose alongside the Carnival theme.
