Bad Arolser Twistesee-Triathlon 2026

The Bad Arolser Twistesee-Triathlon is a club-organized event held at the Twistesee near Wetterburg, in Bad Arolsen, Hessen. Taking place in September, it features an Olympic-distance race (1,500 m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run) and a shorter Volkstriathlon and relay (500 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run). The triathlon department of VfL Bad Arolsen organizes the event, with this 42nd edition focusing on local competition rather than a large-scale spectacle. The swim takes place in the lake. The bike course presents a challenge, with approximately 700 m of climbing for the Olympic distance and about 350 m for the shorter race.
