The IfA Nonstop Triathlon is a club triathlon held in Rattelsdorf, Bavaria, each June by IfA Nonstop Bamberg. It includes swimming, road cycling, and running, catering to participants from Schüler C children (eight or nine years old) to Jedermann and age-group athletes. The adult sprint race covers 750 m swimming, 21 km cycling, and 5 km running. The short-distance race doubles these to 1.5 km, 42 km, and 10 km. Relays are also offered, allowing teams to divide the disciplines.
The event takes place in rural Upper Franconia, with lakes and ponds influencing its character and providing the clear water for the swim. This is the 32nd year for the race. The atmosphere seems focused on genuine competition rather than spectacle, with parents and club volunteers supporting youth races, experienced athletes preparing their equipment, and beginners gaining practical experience. A key advantage is the variety of distances, accommodating children, teenagers, sprint racers, short-distance competitors, and relay teams within distinct formats.
