Pöhl Trail 2026

The Pöhl Trail, organized by TSG Ruppertsgrün since 2022, features routes on hilly natural hiking paths between the edge of Plauen and Ruppertsgrün. Approximately 350 athletes participated recently. The event offers short and long trail races, a 5 km introductory route, Nordic Walking, children's races, and an untimed Paralympics Special Run for individuals with disabilities. The terrain includes technical and demanding sections, with trails crossing the Elster and Trieb valleys. A notable feature on the short and long routes is the Elster Valley Bridge, a large local railway bridge serving as a distinct landmark. The event also includes school participation, inviting elementary schools and primary grades from special schools to compete in the children's runs.
