The Sägerserie is a Berlin cross-country running series held three times annually, starting at noon. It presents itself as the toughest cross-country series in Berlin and Brandenburg. This is not a large city road race; few runners attempt it. The main distances are typically structured around laps or stepped options, with listed distances such as 15 km, 11.25 km, 7.5 km, and 3.75 km, along with shorter options like 3.6 km, 7.2 km, and 10.8 km.
The race is organized by SC TF Veranstaltungs gGmbH, with registration available online, by phone, and in person before or on race day. Finish-area refreshments, changing rooms, showers, online certificates, RaceResult timing, and a children’s course add practicality. The tradition is straightforward: completing the challenge earns the right to be called a “Säger,” a sawyer.
