La Cordiolo - Les Cabannes 2027

La Cordiolo, a mountain-bike and walking event, takes place annually in Les Cabannes, near Cordes-sur-Ciel in the Tarn, on the first Sunday after Easter. It is the primary sporting event organized by the Union Sportive Cordaise de Cyclotourisme. Mountain-bike departures with free starts are available from 7:30 to 10:00 AM, alongside walking routes for those who prefer to travel on foot. All activities commence from the town hall square in Les Cabannes. Cyclists can select from three mountain-bike routes: approximately 25 km for occasional participants, 45 km for regular cyclists, and about 65-66 km for experienced riders, featuring over 1,200 m of elevation gain, challenging sections, a brief initial road segment, red-earth trails, and a passage through a canyon. Hikers have three less demanding choices of 8, 12, or 15 km. Prior to departure, organizers offer coffee and fouaces, contributing to the day's distinct local Tarn character.
