The Run and Bike de Plouay is a winter team event held at the Domaine de Manéhouarn in Plouay, Brittany. Teams share a single mountain bike, alternating between running and riding before crossing the finish line together. The schedule features children's races, an XS race, an intergenerational XS trophy, and an S format suitable for the Brittany championship. Both licensed FFTri athletes and unlicensed participants are welcome; FFT licensees compete without charge in the youth events.
The format is straightforward yet strategic: one team member runs while the other cycles, with the pair determining when to exchange roles. The XS classic race begins with a 650 m section, followed by three 3 km loops. The S championship version shares the same 650 m start and comprises five 3 km loops, totaling 15.650 km. Children's courses are brief, looped races, ranging from 820 m for the youngest teams to 2.740 km for benjamins. The event also backs Les Korrigans, an organization that assists individuals with disabilities in participating in sports using a joëlette; 2 euros from each team entry are contributed to their efforts. Previous races have seen over a hundred triathletes compete, occasionally in adverse conditions such as rain, wind, and significant mud.
