Semi-Marathon de Beaufort en Anjou
日 10月 4
The Semi-Marathon de Beaufort en Anjou is a road running event held in early October in Beaufort-en-Vallée, Maine-et-Loire, within France’s Pays de la Loire region. The primary event is a half marathon, complemented by shorter races: les petites foulées (approximately 5.6 km) and les foulées (approximately 9.7 km). An intermediate race of about 10.5 km is also listed on some entry pages. Additionally, walkers can participate in an 11 km Nordic walk, ensuring the day caters to more than just half marathon runners. The half marathon begins as a loop from Place Notre Dame, starting near the Notre Dame church. The course departs Beaufort-en-Vallée, passing through Gée and Mazé, following the Couesnon river. It incorporates small bridges, roads, paths, woods, and forest sections surrounding the town. Runners will see the ruins of Beaufort Castle and head towards the Château de Montgeoffroy de Montmirail, weaving local heritage into a largely rural route. The region is also known for poularde à l’angevine, a local chicken dish, offering a more regional post-race meal than the typical pasta.
Courir à Meslay - Meslay-du-Maine
土 10月 17
Courir à Meslay is a mid-October running event held in Meslay-du-Maine, located in the Mayenne department of France’s Pays de la Loire region. Its primary race is a measured half marathon, available as a solo effort or a relay, run on a course the organizers describe as relatively flat. The event also features an 8.5 km road race, a nature race, an 11 km hike, and a women-only race, catering to runners seeking a standard road distance alongside those desiring a shorter or less competitive option. The event is in its 18th year and typically attracts several hundred participants, with over 300 attending the last edition. The route incorporates road running and natural paths near forests, lakes, and ponds. Recent changes include reduced entry fees and a new Super U nature race, which offers an 11 km hike and replaces the Meslinoise race due to lower participation in recent years. A portion of the nature race entry fee supports Octobre Rose, the French breast-cancer awareness campaign.

火 10月 27
Festicap - Marathon de Guecelard takes place in late October in Guecelard, a town in Sarthe, Pays de la Loire, near Le Mans. The 42.195 km marathon is the only one held in Sarthe. Semi-marathon sylvanais - Verrières-en-Anjou
日 2月 28
The Semi-marathon Sylvanais is a road half marathon held in Verrières-en-Anjou, a commune in Maine-et-Loire formerly known as Saint-Sylvain d’Anjou. Taking place in March, it serves as the primary event of the local Sylvanais gathering, with a 10 km race also available. Participants can compete in the half marathon individually or as part of a relay team, diversifying the field of runners on the course. Conditions can vary significantly; historical accounts suggest a range from clear spring weather to wet running conditions. The course begins and ends near chemin du Brossay, adjacent to bib pickup. It proceeds through the town center and onto communal roads, utilizing paved city streets. The route is generally described as flat with few significant challenges. Earlier iterations featured three 7 km circuits, while the current format uses two laps. Registration filled ahead of projections, with approximately 900 half-marathon entries noted in the source material. The organizers cap the number of participants for safety reasons on the circuit. The event is recognized by the FFA, allowing licensed runners to use it as a qualifying race for the French half-marathon championships, attracting both local participants and athletes aiming for an official time.

土 3月 6

The summer edition begins in the park of the Château de la Landebaudière and attracts a larger field, with over 1,300 participants across its various races. Its past offerings included 7 km, 14 km, 21 km, and 42 km options, alongside children’s races for ages 3 to 15 on courses ranging from 500 m to 1.5 km. The event has seen rapid growth, with participation increasing from approximately 980 runners to over 1,300. Semi-marathon de Laval
月 3月 8
The Semi-marathon de Laval takes runners through Laval, located in the Mayenne department of France’s Pays de la Loire region, typically in early March with cool, spring-like weather. Established in 1978, the event features two race options: a 21.097 km half marathon and a 6 km race suitable for less experienced runners or those preferring a shorter distance. The half marathon route combines city streets in Laval with sections through the surrounding countryside. Runners should anticipate a challenging course rather than a quick, flat one. One participant described it as very demanding, noting three significant climbs, each over a kilometer long, and a headwind near the finish, though they also mentioned a pleasant finish within Laval. The race attracts dedicated local athletes, recreational runners, and novices, positioning itself as a key running competition in Mayenne.

日 3月 14

A Semi-Ekiden is also offered, spanning 21.100 km for three runners, with legs of 5 km, 10 km, and 6.100 km. The course is designed around a 5 km loop, meaning most participants will run either one or two laps based on their position in the relay. The final runner incorporates an additional shorter section of 2.195 km. Teams can consist of friends, family, colleagues, club members, or local competitors. The event attracts notable Mayenne athletes who compete for the marathon relay victory. Refreshment stations are positioned near the Pont de l’Europe exit at Square de Boston and at the finish line. It is suitable for runners aiming for a personal best and those testing their endurance over the half-marathon distance. 月 3月 29
The Semi-marathon du Massif Forestier takes runners into the Nuaillé-Chanteloup forest near Nuaillé, in France's Pays de la Loire region, for a 21.097 km road-certified half marathon. Held since 1985 and typically scheduled in spring, the event also features an 8.2 km nature run, children's races, and team challenges. This variety attracts beginners, club runners, experienced athletes, families, and local groups, not just half-marathon specialists. The half marathon begins in Nuaillé, following two loops through the woods and forest roads of the massif. Over 3,500 participants are anticipated across all races, with the half marathon holding Athlé Label Route OR certification. The course highlights the local forest wildlife, such as roe deer, stags, and does. Pacers will be available for 1h30, 1h40, 1h50, and 2h00 finishes. The marathon consists of two 21.1 km circuits, while the half marathon completes one circuit and the 10 km follows a significant portion of the same path. The course is notably flat, with no recorded positive elevation gain for the marathon or half marathon. It winds past vineyards, the medieval town, the Vienne riverbanks, the greenway, and the historic center. The marathon village, located at Espace Rabelais, emphasizes local products and the social aspect of the event. This race is in its early stages, having only reached its fourth edition.
