Semi-Marathon de Beaufort en Anjou
日 10月 4
The Semi-Marathon de Beaufort en Anjou is a road running event held in early October in Beaufort-en-Vallée, Maine-et-Loire, within France’s Pays de la Loire region. The primary event is a half marathon, complemented by shorter races: les petites foulées (approximately 5.6 km) and les foulées (approximately 9.7 km). An intermediate race of about 10.5 km is also listed on some entry pages. Additionally, walkers can participate in an 11 km Nordic walk, ensuring the day caters to more than just half marathon runners. The half marathon begins as a loop from Place Notre Dame, starting near the Notre Dame church. The course departs Beaufort-en-Vallée, passing through Gée and Mazé, following the Couesnon river. It incorporates small bridges, roads, paths, woods, and forest sections surrounding the town. Runners will see the ruins of Beaufort Castle and head towards the Château de Montgeoffroy de Montmirail, weaving local heritage into a largely rural route. The region is also known for poularde à l’angevine, a local chicken dish, offering a more regional post-race meal than the typical pasta.
La Foulée des Géants
日 10月 4
La Foulée des Géants is a night race held within Puy du Fou, a historical theme park in Les Épesses, Vendée, western France. Participants can select either a 10 km road race or a 20 km off-road trail, dividing the event into a quicker park course and a more demanding trail choice. The course leverages its unique setting as its primary appeal: runners navigate after dark through the park’s monuments, performance venues, and gardens, deviating from a typical town circuit. The 10 km is designed for a broad range of participants, including regular competitors and recreational runners, while the 20 km offers trail runners a more challenging endeavor. The event embraces Puy du Fou’s medieval and historical ambiance, framing the race as a knightly nocturnal adventure instead of a straightforward run.
10 km Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre
日 10月 4
The 10 km Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre is a road race held in the town centre of Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre, Vendée, with a 5 km race also offered. It suits runners seeking an early-season goal. The 10 km also holds competitive significance as a qualifier for the French championships and the Vendée 10 km championship. The event, organized by Entente Sèvre, has completed 47 editions, establishing it as a long-standing local event. The 5 km course also qualifies participants for the French championships. Each runner receives a local gift, contributing to the day's atmosphere of a small-town club race alongside the championship competition.
Foulées Etival - Étival-lès-le-Mans
月 10月 5
Foulées Etival is a local road race held in Étival-lès-le-Mans, Sarthe, France, typically in October. The event offers two races: a 5 km run in the morning and a 10 km run later the same morning. This setup allows participants to choose between a short, fast race or a longer distance. The course consists of a single, very runnable loop, making it straightforward for new participants and attractive for those aiming for a fast finish time. It is an established event on the Sarthe running calendar, still attracting a few hundred runners, with one recent edition seeing 413 participants.
Trail 112 congrès national pompier - Le Mans
金 10月 9
Trail 112 is an 11.2 km semi-night urban trail held at the 24 Hours of Le Mans site. Runners begin at 7:00 PM on the Bugatti circuit. The event is connected to the national firefighters' congress, drawing a diverse field of local runners, club athletes, firefighters, and visitors attending the congress in Le Mans. While some sources list the race at 10 km, the official course is 11.2 km, aligning with the emergency number in the race's name. The course begins with a lap of the Bugatti circuit before heading through Tribune 32 and onto service roads typically used by race officials. The turnaround point is at the chapel, after which the route passes through the DUNLOP area and several tunnels towards Houx. A final climb awaits at the OFFROAD butte. Fields typically number around 5,000 participants, with all profits benefiting the Oeuvre des Pupilles, a charity supporting children and families of firefighters.
10 km de La Flèche
日 10月 11
The 10 km de La Flèche is a road race held at the Complexe de la Monnerie / Plage in La Flèche, Sarthe, France. Taking place in mid-October, it features two distances: a 5 km race and a 10 km race. The event is organized by Athlétisme Sarthe et Loir 72 under the names e-Logica 5Km and e-Logica 10Km. The course follows a path around Monnerie lake, with water present throughout the run. Recent editions have seen strong local participation, with over 500 finishers in the 5 km and more than 1,000 in the 10 km, setting new records. The race maintains a club-friendly atmosphere while attracting runners, timekeepers, and spectators to the lakeside venue. Its slogan, “Run like an Arrow!”, references the town’s name, La Flèche, meaning “the arrow” in French.
Trail entre Loire et Vignes
日 10月 11
The Trail entre Loire et Vignes takes place at the Savennières stadium in Maine-et-Loire, with a mid-October schedule featuring three trail races and a children’s run. Adult participants can select routes ranging from approximately 11 to 32 kilometers, accommodating local runners seeking a shorter countryside race and those prepared for a longer trail challenge. The longest course involves around 350 meters of elevation gain, while the middle and shorter routes are less demanding with approximately 150 and 80 meters of gain, respectively. The children’s race is free for participants aged 8 to 12 and is limited to 50 entrants. The courses are single-loop trail races winding through the Loire and vineyard landscape surrounding Savennières, a village more recognized for its wine production than large-scale road running events. The 32 km race includes a checkpoint at 16 km; runners reaching this point after two hours are rerouted to the shorter Coteaux course. The event was established by individuals passionate about both running and local heritage, and it maintains a community atmosphere with hundreds of participants in the main races. Each year, the event benefits sick children, and one euro from each entry fee is donated to a Pink October charity. Participants are required to provide their own cup for aid stations.

A distinct process is available for clubs, companies, and groups requiring bulk entries and a single payment.
Le trail des châteaux de Montreuil-Bellay
日 10月 11
Le Trail des Châteaux de Montreuil-Bellay is an urban trail race held in Montreuil-Bellay each October, starting and finishing at Gaston Amy stadium. Participants can choose from approximately 10.5 km and 18 km distances, with a shorter 5 km option available. This setup caters to runners seeking a concise town-and-countryside race, distinct from lengthy mountain trails. Dedicated children's races range from 800 m to 2.7 km, tailored to different age groups. The route's primary draw, as indicated by its name, is its passage by three châteaux: the Château de Montreuil-Bellay, the Château de la Salle, and the Château de la Durandière. The course incorporates a mix of streets, rural paths, flat sections, climbs, descents, and stairs. The 10.5 km route features around 113 m of elevation gain, while the 18 km route has approximately 177 m. This event seems suited for local club runners, families, and trail enthusiasts who appreciate varied terrain without venturing far from urban areas.
Les Foulées Hilairoises à Saint-Hilaire-de-Clisson
日 10月 11

Adult participants can select a 10 km race, open to those 16 and older, or a 20 km race for runners 18 and up, with the 20 km beginning earlier in the morning. Three children's races are also part of the event. The organization includes online registration and electronic chip timing, giving it the practical character of a well-organized community race.
Les Foulées Siffait à Le Cellier
土 10月 17
Les Foulées Siffait is an October trail-running event held in Le Cellier, Loire-Atlantique, starting and finishing at the sports complex on rue de Langförden. La Grande Vadrouille organizes this event as part of Pink October, with each adult registration prompting a donation to breast cancer awareness and research. The event features three primary distances: a race under 10 km, a race of approximately 15 km, and a 30 km format. The route incorporates viewpoints along the Loire River, passes by historic monuments, includes single-track trail sections, and features climbs, positioning it as a local trail day rather than a flat road race. The 30 km course is divided into three distinct loops, with time cutoffs and final rankings determined solely on the last loop. Bib numbers are capped, and two children's races are available for ages 7 to 12, with all proceeds from children's entries donated to the League Against Cancer.
Course et rando LA'titude
日 10月 18
The LA'titude race and hike circles the seven villages of Loire-Authion, close to Angers in Maine-et-Loire. Each year, participants explore a different part of the commune. Held in October, the event combines trail running, walking, nature trails, and some town sections. The primary running options are LA Sportive (18 km) and LA Rythmée (10 km). For walkers, there are 16 km, 11 km, and 3 km routes. The short family route ensures the event is open to more than just dedicated runners, appealing to hikers and families as much as to those seeking a challenge. The running courses traverse paths between the Loire and Authion rivers. The scenery changes from village outskirts to riverbanks and open country paths. The hiking routes focus on exploration, featuring canals, riverside wildlife, bridges, small harbors, and paths along the Loire. Hikers are given a booklet highlighting points of interest. Loire-Authion, with the Saint-Barthélemy-d'Anjou athletics club, organizes the event. Previous events have taken place in locations like Andard, La Daguenière, La Bohalle, and around Saint-Mathurin, attracting around 700 runners and over 400 hikers. A morning village offering activities, affordable on-site hiking registration, and free supervised childcare for ages 3 to 12 contribute to the local community atmosphere, distinguishing it from a purely competitive event.
