Semi de la juine
日 10月 4
Semi de la Juine is a road race held in Saclas, a small commune in Essonne, south of Paris in the Île-de-France region. The next edition is scheduled for early October, offering three main distances: 6 km, 11.5 km, and 21 km. The event is named after the Juine river, not the month of June, and also features races for children and juniors. The course incorporates town streets, forest paths, and open fields, providing variety beyond a simple city circuit. The race is associated with nearby Essonne communes like Guillerval, Méréville, and Saint-Cyr-la-Rivière, suggesting a local countryside feel for participants from the surrounding villages and from Paris. A runner's comment in French, “C’est la classe !”, is also featured.
Marathon du Cher
日 10月 11
The Marathon du Cher takes place in mid-October in France's Cher department, Centre-Val de Loire region, with all distances concluding in Vierzon. Participants can select a full marathon, half marathon, or 10 km race, all commencing simultaneously in the morning. This event is relatively new, offering practical amenities such as bib collection, parking, shuttle services, bag drop at the finish line, and runner tracking. The full marathon route extends from Saint-Doulchard to Vierzon, incorporating sections of the Canal de Berry. The half marathon begins in Mehun-sur-Yèvre, and the 10 km race starts in Foëcy. The canal provides the race with its distinct local character, stretching 324 km through the Cher department. It originates at the étoile de Fontblisse in Bannegon and diverges into routes towards Montluçon, Marseilles-lès-Aubigny, and Noyers-sur-Cher. Historically used for industrial transport, the course is integrated with this significant regional infrastructure, not solely relying on rural trails.
Les foulées du bord de loire
日 10月 11
Les Foulées des Bords de Loire is a June running and Nordic walking event held at the La Minais sports hall in Sainte-Luce-sur-Loire, east of Nantes. Organized by the Racing Club Nantais, via its Sainte-Luce/Loire section, it is an open club event for licensed FFA runners and those without a license. The main adult program features a 5.5 km race, a 12 km race, and an 11 km Nordic walk, with the 12 km race counting towards the Loire-Atlantique departmental challenge. The courses are flat and primarily natural, following a mix of roads and paths toward the Loire riverbanks. The day also includes races for younger athletes: a 1 km race for boys and girls in the youngest categories, and a mixed 3 km race for older children. Now in its thirtieth edition, the event is a long-standing fixture in the local calendar. Some event listings may refer to Les Foulées du Bord de Loire for a Jargeau event in the Loiret, which offers flat races from children's distances up to a half marathon, but the Sainte-Luce event is the one associated with Racing Club Nantais and the Loire-Atlantique challenge.
Allure challenge-Luisant
土 10月 17
The Allure Challenge takes runners to the roads of Luisant, located near Chartres in Eure-et-Loir, for a night race. This event, organized by the Allure28 Running Club and affiliated with the French athletics federation, provides 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon distances. Recent editions have taken place on Saturday evenings in October. The course follows roads within Luisant, distinct from trail or countryside races. The event emphasizes pacing, where speed, strategy, and endurance are key, particularly for those advancing from the 5 km to the 10 km or half marathon. Its nighttime setting offers a unique atmosphere compared to typical Sunday morning races.
Les Foulées Sarmates
土 10月 17
Les Foulées Sarmates offers three nature runs in Sermaise: 5 km, 10 km, and 21 km. It is designed as a local race day where beginners, casual runners, and stronger trail runners can select a suitable distance. The draw is straightforward: a proper dose of countryside running close to the village. The routes traverse the natural landscape around Sermaise, including forest tracks, quiet paths, the Orge valley, rivers, open plains, hamlets, ponds, and local historical monuments. Water features and cultural stops add variety beyond a simple road loop. The event also supports a charitable cause, allowing runners to contribute to something beyond their own finish time.
Courses de l'indien
日 10月 18
Courses de l'Indien is a series of flat road races held in Orléans, within the Loiret department of France, offering 5 km, 10 km, and half-marathon distances. The event takes place in the La Source district, with its start and finish at Place Albert Camus, and is a fixture on the local autumn racing schedule. The 10 km and half-marathon courses are officially measured by the French athletics federation, qualifying runners for the French championships under a bronze FFA label. The 5 km is timed but is a popular race rather than a labelled or officially measured course. The courses are on asphalt and designed for speed, featuring flat, rolling layouts suitable for runners aiming for a personal best. Sections of the route traverse the green spaces of Orléans la Source, incorporating public parkland and areas with lakes and ponds. ASPTT Orléans organizes the series, which began in 1975, making it the oldest road race in the Centre-Val de Loire region. This long history lends it a local club-racing atmosphere, while the programme also caters to competitive runners via the measured 10 km and half-marathon.
Nordique Bellifontaine
火 10月 20
Nordique Bellifontaine, held in mid-October in Montigny-sur-Loing, Seine-et-Marne, takes place near the Fontainebleau forest. Azimut Sport Compétition Fontainebleau organizes the event, offering three forest routes: 8.5 km (La Virée Nordique), 14.5 km (La Mont Aigu), and 20.5 km (La Nordique Bellifontaine). The 8.5 km walk is suitable for beginners. The 14.5 km route provides a more demanding outing for regular walkers, while the 20.5 km course presents the primary challenge and is the most frequented choice. Past editions featured a 13 km race on the national MNCN circuit for licensed FFA athletes, connected to the Île-de-France and Seine-et-Marne challenges, and a Nordic Bellif-Kids format for ages 12 to 15. Over 100 participants joined a prior edition, indicating it's a local forest event attracting both competitive walkers and those opting for a less strenuous distance.

Taking place in early March, it features a 10 km race and a half marathon, with options for children and juniors alongside the adult distances. The name reflects the location: participants run between the Loire River and the château country surrounding it. The courses are designed to showcase local natural landscapes, offering an alternative to purely urban routes. The event is structured to accommodate families as well as dedicated runners. Blois is a nearby town, and Chambord is approximately an hour's drive away. Villandry's gardens are also accessible for those extending their visit to the Loire Valley beyond the race weekend.
Trail Cloysien des 3 Rivieres
日 3月 7
The Trail Cloysien des 3 Rivieres begins at the Château de Montigny-le-Gannelon in Cloyes-sur-le-Loir, located in France’s Centre-Val de Loire region's Eure-et-Loir department. This yearly March trail race offers three primary distances: 10 km, 16 km, and 21 km. The event is designed for participants preferring trails over road races, featuring hills, forest paths, and chateaux along the course. The 10 km race is run in full autonomy, requiring runners to manage their own provisions without aid stations. The race attracts a robust local field, with registrations often filling rapidly and nearly a thousand participants in a recent running. The 10 km event alone can host several hundred starters, featuring a balanced representation of men and women, with average finish times slightly exceeding one hour. A dedicated course is provided for juniors, ensuring the event caters to younger participants as well as adults pursuing longer distances. A substantial volunteer photography team contributes to the event's character, documenting runners from various perspectives and in diverse weather conditions, subsequently publishing galleries from multiple named photographers.
Semi-marathon de Chartres Sitrans
日 3月 7
The Semi-marathon de Chartres Sitrans offers a 5 km, a 10 km, and a half marathon during a weekend in early March in Chartres, Eure-et-Loir, France. This timed city running event attracts a wide range of participants, allowing them to select from a short, quick race to the 21.0975 km half marathon. The schedule also features children's races, with distances for juniors from 500 m to 2,500 m. The primary half marathon is named for Sitrans and UNICEF. The shorter races are the 5 km de l’Echo Republicain and the 10 km de l’ACLAM. Recent events have seen over 5,000 finishers in the main races, along with more than 200 children in the UNICEF races. The event relies on a substantial volunteer team, with approximately 270 volunteers noted for a recent edition, and has established a Strava presence for digital race engagement.
