レースについて
The Loutraki 12-hour race is an overnight ultramarathon in Loutraki, Greece, held during the International Ultramarathon Festival in late October. It begins at 23:00 and concludes at 11:00 the following morning. Runners focus on accumulating distance throughout the night rather than aiming for a specific finish line. The festival also features 24-hour and 48-hour World Cup races, positioning the 12-hour event as the shortest option during a weekend dedicated to time-based ultras.
The race is organized by Day Runners. Registration and fee payment occur at the stadium. Each participant receives an electronic timing chip, bib number, event T-shirt, medal, and diploma. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in each race. Loutraki is accessible by train from Athens Airport. Athletes may sleep within the stadium by providing their own sleeping bag and mattress; tents are permitted, and a limited number of indoor rest areas are available. Expected temperatures are warm, between 20-30°C, a factor even for a night race.
