The Sfakia Sky Marathon is a 44 km mountain ultra in the Sfakia area of Chania, Greece, featuring approximately 3,050 m of climbing and descent. The race takes place on an October weekend and returns for its sixth edition after a one-year hiatus. It is a trail race with a limited field, capped at 150 entries. Runners require an ITRA number and proof of two recent trail races of at least 21 km.
The route centers on Anopoli and Loutro, with Pachnes, the 2,454 m summit in the White Mountains, as its most significant landmark. Race logistics contribute to its character: bibs can be collected in Anopoli or Chora Sfakion, a bag can be left for the Anopoli finish, and a morning ferry transports participants to Loutro. Mandatory equipment includes a hydration vest, emergency blanket, mobile phone, windproof jacket, and a reusable cup, as aid stations do not provide plastic cups.
