The Sør Amfi race is a round of the Sparebanken Norge Terrengkarusellen for Arendal and Grimstad, a local trail series allowing walking, jogging, or running. The series divides into spring and autumn segments, totaling 16 races: 10 before summer and 6 after. Each race week offers participants a flexible window from Tuesday to Thursday, with a shared Tuesday evening start for those seeking a traditional race feel.
Runners select either a short or a long course, with or without timing. The Tuesday mass start begins with the long course, followed by the short course a few minutes later. Individuals preferring a less crowded start can begin on their own without timing while the course is open. This format accommodates club runners, workplace groups, friends, and walkers desiring a marked route without the full race atmosphere.
