Challenge Turku 2026

Challenge Turku is a Challenge Family triathlon event in Turku, Finland, with the race village located near hotels and city attractions. The primary event is a middle-distance triathlon: a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, and 21.1 km run, totaling the standard 70.3-mile distance. The weekend also includes a super sprint (300 m swim, 10 km bike, 2.5 km run) and Junior Challenge races with shorter distances for children and parent-child teams. The event takes place in Turku’s historic city center and on adjacent roads, offering an urban, compact feel compared to rural triathlons. The middle-distance bike course is notably flat, with just 28 meters of elevation gain, designed for fast times. This middle distance also hosts the Finnish National Championships. Age-group athletes, relay teams, open elite competitors, juniors, and support staff participate during the same festival weekend.
