Gorce Ultra Trail, also known as the Ochotnica Challenge, is a mountain trail-running event held in Ochotnica Dolna, southern Poland. It takes place at the end of July and beginning of August, offering participants seven route options. These range from a 5 km race to a 102 km ultra for experienced runners. Intermediate distances include 12 km, 20 km, 33 km, 48 km, and 66 km, accommodating various levels of trail running within the same weekend.
The courses traverse trails in the Gorce mountains and adhere to International Trail Running Association criteria, relevant for runners seeking official points. The longer races are designed for advanced ultra-runners, while the 20 km, 12 km, and 5 km options provide shorter challenges. This event is in its ninth year. Ochotnica's local culture, including its food traditions and highlander music, is integrated into the event.
