Kresowe Trail - Narewka is a forest race held in the Narewka area of Podlaskie, near the Białowieża Forest. It is part of the seasonal Kresowe Trail calendar, offering runners a 21 km Półmaraton Żubra, an 8 km Mały Żubr, and an 8 km Nordic Walking option. The race village and finish are located by the Narewka River beach, concluding the event waterside.
The route follows the edge of Białowieża National Park, crosses the Szczekotowo reserve, crosses the escarpment above the Narewka River, and winds along oak-lined forest paths. Portions of the course go through primeval forest. The bison theme is relevant as hundreds of bison inhabit the Białowieża Forest, and organizers suggest an on-route encounter is likely. Participants can compete in this event individually or as part of the broader Kresowe Trail series, which features general and team standings. Regional music and food at the finish contribute a local Podlasie atmosphere to a race centered on forest trails, riverbanks, and the possibility of sighting the animal that lends its name to the main race distance.
