LOTTO Triathlon Energy Gniewino is a summer triathlon held in Gniewino, a village in Pomerania, northern Poland, typically in early August. It is part of the LOTTO Triathlon Energy series, aimed at ambitious athletes. The Gniewino event includes several race distances: 1/2 IM, 1/4 IM, and 1/8 IM, with individual and relay options for the shorter distances. The 1/4 distance covers 950 m swimming, 45 km cycling, and 10.55 km running. The 1/8 distance is 475 m swimming, 22.5 km cycling, and 5.275 km running. The course is rated medium difficulty and features mixed surfaces.
The race takes place in the Kashubian region, offering a small-town northern Poland atmosphere rather than a big-city triathlon feel. A unique aspect of the Gniewino event is its connection to Stolem, Poland's largest pumped-storage power plant, which influences the race's local identity and setting. Recent editions attracted over six hundred participants, making it a significant event while retaining a regional character. Conditions reported from the latest running included calm weather, water temperatures around 21 degrees Celsius, and minimal wind, a contrast to an earlier edition affected by prolonged rain.
