On race morning in Szczecin, approximately 4,500 runners gather for the PKO Półmaraton Szczecin, a street race offering both a half marathon and a 10 km option. The program begins at 9:00 AM, with the shorter race providing a similar city event atmosphere without the full 21.1 km distance.
Stowarzyszenie K2 Partners manages the event under the "Pokonaj siebie" banner, now in its eleventh year. The participants include dedicated local runners alongside competitors from Poland and other countries. Organizers describe it as the largest running event in the region. Its scale is evident in the logistics: 450 staff members, including 230 volunteers, 50,000 cups, 2,000 kg of bananas, 10,000 liters of isotonic drink, 4,000 meters of barriers, and 16 km of securing tape.
