The Sowiogórski Tour is a three-stage cycling race held in and around Dzierżoniów, with competition taking place throughout the city, the Dzierżoniów commune, and the broader Dzierżoniów district. It operates under UCI and Polish Cycling Federation regulations. While licensed riders are accommodated, amateurs may also participate by completing the necessary forms. Licensed athletes require current medical clearance and insurance. The event features age-group competitions from youth categories up to juniors, alongside women’s open, amateur, and children’s races, functioning as both a competitive weekend and a local cycling gathering.
The first stage consists of a classic-bike individual time trial originating in Świdnica and concluding in Modliszów, with a return leg. The longest iteration measures 18.5 km. The second stage is a road race centered in Ostroszowice, utilizing an 8.7 km circuit through Myśliszów and Kietlice, to be completed up to 12 times. The concluding stage takes place within Dzierżoniów, featuring up to 30 laps of a 1.8 km circuit. Ludowy Klub Sportowy Atom and the local sports and recreation center are the organizers. Each stage also incorporates scheduled children’s races categorized by age and gender.
