TriShark Narón
TriShark Narón is a mid-July sprint triathlon held in Narón, A Coruña, Galicia. The race is designed for broad participation; athletes may compete individually or as part of a team. The sprint distance ensures a focused competition with a 750 m swim, 18 km of road cycling, and 5 km of road running. Previous federation records indicate it was an all-day event, and one mention of "VII" suggests the race had reached at least its seventh edition. The cycling segment consists of three 6 km loops, and the run is divided into three laps of approximately 1.67 km, facilitating spectator viewing. The course incorporates Narón’s varied terrain, including urban streets, coastal areas, natural paths, and some sand, distinguishing it from a purely urban, closed-road triathlon. The event accommodates solo competitors and relay teams, and participation can be high, as evidenced by a women's registration link that closed upon reaching its limit. The rules for awards are stringent, imposing penalties and future participation limitations on athletes or clubs failing to attend the podium ceremony without a justifiable cause.
