Swindon Half Marathon
The Swindon Half Marathon is a 13.1-mile race held on September 13 at Coate Water Country Park in Swindon, Wiltshire. It is a chip-timed RunThrough event on a closed-road course, expecting over 3,000 participants and raising funds for Prospect Hospice. The course begins and ends at Coate Water, crossing Swindon and adjacent rural areas, passing through Wanborough, Badbury, and Medbourne. The initial miles are largely flat, the middle section features more undulations, and the final part descends to the finish line. Participants will receive a distinctive medal, partner items, and refreshments in the event village. The race was re-established after a six-year hiatus with an adjusted route designed for local access and minimal disruption.
