East Midlands Grand Prix Milton Keynes 10K

The Milton Keynes 10K begins at Willen Lake in the evening, with runners starting at 7:45pm from the MK15 0AH area. This is a flat 10K and the seventh event in the eight-race East Midlands Grand Prix series, placing it towards the competitive end of the series. The route follows Milton Keynes' Redways for most of its length, distinguishing it as a local race rather than a typical road-only event. Participants will run anticlockwise around the North Lake and then anticlockwise around the entire lake. Marshall Milton Keynes AC organizes the race; the club is a significant figure in local athletics and has had Olympic and international athletes as members.

Short Tour of Bradwell

Race For Life Milton Keynes

Race For Life Milton Keynes is a fundraising run held at Willen Lake in Milton Keynes. The event offers both a 5K and a 10K distance. The 10K begins in the morning, followed by the 5K later in the day. As part of Cancer Research UK's Race For Life series, the event focuses on raising funds for cancer research alongside completing the chosen distance. スラウ練習メモ

ランニング： スラウはランナーにとって、コンパクトで平坦な街中が拠点って感じかな。南東の角にあるUpton Court parkが、地元のランニングを支えてるよ。地元の人たちはUpton Court parkrunを、安定したZ2ペースの周回とか、キツめのインターバル、あとは土曜の気軽な確認練習に使ってるね。コースは2周で、1周目が約2.7km、2周目が約2.3kmだよ。GoodGym Sloughは毎週月曜にSalt Hill Activity Centreから集合してる。グループで地元の公園に植樹しに行ったり、フードバンクのために缶を仕分けしたりして、その後にインターバル走で戻ってくることもあるみたい。長距離練習の軸になるのはWind in the Pillows Marathons & Half marathonだね。

サイクリング： スラウは、ルートに大げさなドラマを求めずにbase milesを稼ぎたいサイクリストにはピッタリだよ。街の中心から20分圏内にほぼ全部の地域があるから、地元の人たちはredwaysやサイクルルートをよく使ってるね。Slough Cycling Clubは2020年に設立されて、初心者から中級者くらいのロードサイクリストには良いクラブだよ。日曜のクラブライドに参加するなら、最低でも40 miles (65 km)を時速14 mph (22.5 km/h)くらいで走れる必要があるかな。日曜のクラブライドは08:30出発で、no-drop（誰も置いていかない）だよ。スラウはコンパクトで平坦だから、登りは控えめ。Short Tour of Bradwellが、カレンダーの中でちょっとキツめのライドの軸になってるね。

シーズン： 6月、7月、8月が一番レースに集中できる時期って感じ。Race For Life Milton Keynesは2026-06-07、East Midlands Grand Prix Milton Keynes 10KとEMGP Milton Keynes 10km Raceは2026-06-30、World Cup 60th Anniversary Marathons & Half Marathonsは2026-07-04にあるよ。Wind in the Pillows Marathons & Half marathonは2026-08-02だから、地元の人たちは無理なく夏に向けてbase milesを積み重ねられるね。冬になると、もっと安定したランニングと無理のないサイクリングにシフトする感じかな。Fireworks 5kmは2026-11-08、Enigma Week At the Knees 2027は2027-03-08だよ。
