Fca 5K

オカラのランナーは、公園が多くてZ2練やちょっとキツい練習にすごくいい選択肢があるんだ。Florida TrailはSantosからロングランに最高で、西にDunnellonまで約24 miles、東には10 miles以上走れるよ。舗装路に飽きたら、Cross Florida Greenwayの乗馬トレイル網で土の上も走れるしね。地元のランナーは、特にMother's Day 5k Run / Walkの頃なんかは、Historic Districtでレースペースを掴む練習をしてるよ。Mother's Day 2Mとか他の短いレースも、年間を通して結構あるんだ。
オカラのサイクリストの方がクラブシーンは有名かな。Ocala Mountain Bike AssociationがSantosを管理してるからね。Santosには初心者からエキスパートまで80 miles以上のバイクコースがあって、singletrackもそこらの脇道レベルじゃないんだ。メインループは3 kmで獲得標高は703 m。コースには舗装路が1 km含まれてる。登りは山って感じじゃないけど、ローラー、砂、轍、土の下りがインターバルをしっかり効かせてくれるんだ。地元のメインはcritよりgran fondoって感じだね。
冬はオカラのベストトレーニングシーズンだよ。12月は最低34°Fから最高61°Fくらいで動く感じかな。地元のランナーは、夏の厳しい暑さなしでFlorida Trailでのロングランを何日も重ねられるんだ。地元のサイクリストも、遅めにスタートしてグラベルを走ったり、Santosでハードなセッションをこなしたりしても、Z2でしっかり距離を稼いで帰ってこられるよ。夏は暑くて湿度が高いから、みんなランもライドも早めに始めて、内容はシンプルにするんだ。夏でも森の中は走れるけど、やっぱり結構キツく感じるね。冬になると、両方のスポーツで気分が変わるんだ。ロングライドとかハーフマラソン練習、連日のトレイルランなんかも、また普通にできる感じになるからね。
