Om dette løpet
The Hohwachter Kranichlauf is a timed 10.3 km nature run held in Hohwacht, located on Germany’s Baltic coast in Schleswig-Holstein. The run begins in the afternoon, concluding at the holiday resort on the Spielstraße of De Ole School. Participants can run the full distance individually or form a four-person relay team, dividing the route into four 2.5 km segments. The race is also suited for hobby runners, with organizers recommending good running shoes and weather-resistant attire due to potential weather changes.
The course is DLV measured and features 63 m of elevation gain, positioning it as a manageable local road-and-nature race rather than a demanding mountain challenge. The individual race includes men's and women's categories, along with youth age groups. Relay teams may also comprise younger runners, and youth relays where all participants are under 18 receive a small fee discount. A supporting program is arranged around the run for friends and family. Registration is managed through My RaceResult, with the event organized by My RaceResult and De Ole School.
