Saskatoon Heartbeat Run
The Saskatoon Heartbeat Run is a September running and walking event held in Kiwanis Memorial Park on Spadina Crescent East in Saskatoon. It begins in the morning with short, accessible distances: a 1 km fun run, a 5 km run/walk, and a 10 km race. A 3 km walk is also available during registration. The event is designed for a broad audience, including individuals who have experienced a cardiac event and seek a manageable way to engage in activity with family, friends, or colleagues. The race directly supports heart care in Saskatchewan. Registration fees and donations benefit the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation’s Mending Little Hearts Fund, which provides funding for pediatric cardiovascular care. This marks the event's 13th year. Every participant receives a commemorative cotton race shirt, with supplies assured. The atmosphere feels more like a community run focused on activity, recovery, and supporting heart patients, rather than a competitive race.
