Flache Power an der Küste

Der North End Run Club, Norfolk Run Club, SPARC Worldwide und die Tidewater Striders sorgen dafür, dass der Kalender mit Gruppenläufen immer voll ist. Radfahrer sammeln ihre base miles auf den Strandstraßen, in Pungo und auf dem Newport News City Park Bike Path. Der Tripower Cycling Club of Virginia hält das Tempo hoch: Dienstags und donnerstags starten sie um 7:15 AM vom Parkplatz des Terrapin Restaurant für 40 Meilen bei 18-20+ MPH. Samstags geht's bei Conte's Bike Shop los, und die Runden reichen von C pace bis A+ pace. Back Bay West Gravel und False Cape State Park bieten Sand, gravel und wunderschöne Aussichten, allein im False Cape State Park gibt es über 12 Meilen unbefestigte Wege.
