Trail Sant Esteve ( Montseny )

The Trail Sant Esteve begins and ends at Plaza de la Iglesia in Sant Esteve de Palautordera, a primary entrance to Montseny Natural Park and Biosphere Reserve. The main event is a 27.5 km mountain trail race of moderate difficulty, with a time limit of five and a half hours. It is designed for amateur runners seeking a demanding yet attainable challenge on the trails of Montseny. The course follows paths and forest tracks, offering sufficient runnable sections to maintain a consistent pace while retaining a mountainous character. It crosses numerous trails towards the peak of Sant Elies, supported by six aid stations. This race is part of the larger Trail Sant Esteve event, now in its seventeenth year, and serves as the more challenging option compared to the 13 km Speed Trail. Additionally, younger participants can compete in Mini Trail races ranging from 1 to 3.5 km, contributing to a local, family-oriented atmosphere alongside the main mountain competition. All finishers are awarded a neck gaiter, a technical t-shirt, and a butifarra sandwich.
