About this race
Kimbolton Wines anchors the South Bremer Trails, with the course heading into the Langhorne Creek Wine Region instead of conforming to a typical winery run. In its third year, it offers a straightforward trail event: flat enough for speed, yet featuring dirt, sand, scrubland, and vineyard edges to challenge participants. The description “unique running experience” applies, as the terrain shifts quickly after the initial paved section.
You encounter about 1km of sealed road before the route transitions to hard dirt roads and sandy tracks weaving through vineyards and scrubland. Depending on your turnaround point, you will see views toward Chilton Scrub, North Bremer, and Giles Road. The flat course is accessible for beginners and runners of all abilities, but the loose surfaces become demanding later, particularly the difficult 400m sand stretch near the finish. Anticipate a day of trail running with live music, wine, and a community atmosphere that is budget-friendly.
