Trails and Tails Coopernook
Sunday, August 23, 2026 · Shingle Creek Road, Australia
About this race
Coopernook State Forest defines this event, offering quiet trail running through native bushland. The event is based around the Forest Headquarters and Coopernook Forest Camping Ground, near Lansdowne Forest. Trails and Tails Coopernook is a relaxed, dog-friendly forest event. Its loop format suits both those new to trail running and experienced ultra runners completing multiple laps.
The course uses a seven-kilometre loop, combining flowing single track with wider fire trails. It features gentle undulations, avoiding steep climbs. Runners will find shade under tall eucalypts and native vegetation, enjoying a peaceful forest atmosphere. As laps progress, there are "hidden secrets to discover." The unique aspect is that dogs are welcome, so participants may encounter many leashed canine running partners on the trail.
