About this race
Royal National Park shapes this trek with its coastal tracks, bush paths, and the usual runner's choices regarding shoes, layers, and water. Trek for a Cause is a community charity day, not a timed event. Staff, clients, families, and friends move together to support RizeUp, a "national force for change" assisting individuals affected by domestic and family violence.
The route options include The Coast Track from Otford, the out-and-back to Wattamolla, the Wedding Cake Rock Circuit, and the loop to Jibbon Head and Shelly Beach. Expect practical trail advice, team leaders guiding groups, and small comforts that make a difference mid-walk: "sensible hiking boots or running type shoes," a wet weather jacket, and perhaps spare socks, because "you will be amazed at how good a fresh pair of socks are half way!" The event concludes at Bundeena CSC with food, drinks, raffles, and an afternoon of enjoyment.
