Parramatta Park is the focus: a fast, flat three-lap circuit on sealed cycle and pedestrian paths through heritage-listed parklands along the Parramatta River. You start near Noller Footbridge, settle into the park loop, and encounter open grass, established trees, riverside views, and enough shelter to make the course usable in ordinary rough weather.
The laps are straightforward and practical, with the George Street gatehouse waiting at the finish each time around. It suits PB attempts because there is no significant climbing to manage, and the smooth, pram-friendly surface attracts runners pushing kids as well as people chasing a clean split. The multi-lap format is handy for supporters too; they can see you more than once without having to move across the park, though exposed sections can be challenging on windy days.
